If there was ever a time to get arrested and have your mug shot taken, the 1920s was it!  The creator of a new Tumblr, ‘Mugshot Doppelganger‘ says, “the tacky looking mugshots we have today are in stark contrast to the mugshots taken in the 1920’s. Vintage mugshots have an eerie beauty to them that’s lost in current mugshot photography.” Michael Jason Enriquez, Art Director at the Art Center College of Design in California did some digging through the mugshot archives of the Historic Houses Trust and swapped the faces of the 1920s jailbirds with some of our most famous modern-day celebrity mugshots. As Instagrammers know all too well, those vintage filters were so much more flattering!
