Meet the Da Vinci of Barista Coffee Art

By

9th Apr, 2013

Waiter! There’s a Britney Spears in my coffee! (I knew that was going to be terrible but I did it anyway). We’ve seen hearts and even cat faces in our lattes made by baristas with an artistic flair– some good, some great, but I’ll bet you’ve never seen anything quite like these coffee portraits by NYC barista, Mike Breach.

Spock

Bob Dylan

Edward Scissorhands

Watch Mike in action:

Mike is currently seeking sponsorship from roasters to get his coffee studio up and running! “Coffee is his medium”, he says, and he’s been chronicling his impressive portraits to his Barista Art Tumblr since he started. Here’s a few of my favourites..

Shakespeare

Dali

MTV’s Flava Flav

Amélie

Velatteraptor!

Bob Marley

Keith Haring

There’s only one question: is his coffee any good? You can find out for yourself if you’re in the area, Mike currently works for The Smile, a café on Bond Street in Manhattan, NY.

Follow Mike on instagram here to see latte portraits from MJ and Harry Potter to Woody Allen, John Lennon and even the ruined fresco meme!
